drivingDirection From Bridgeport, take Route 8 N 23.5 miles to Exit 26/CT-63 S at Naugatuck. Head southeast on Main Street and turn onto Ct-63 N. Travel 3 miles to the park; entrance is on the north side of the road.
facilitiesDescription This day-use park offers four picnic shelters with electric hookups, picnic tables, and grills. A ball field on-site can also be reserved. Smaller family picnic sites are available on a first come, first served basis. Amenities include flush toilets, drinking water, a beach, trails for hiking and biking, ball fields, volleyball courts, and horseshoe pit.

orientationDescription The forest surrounding Hop Brook Lake is made up of a wide variety of trees, including white pine, maple, oak, hickory, ash, and dogwood. Wildlife is abundant in the area. Bird watchers will find hawks, turkeys, waterfowl, and songbirds. White-tailed deer, beaver, squirrels, chipmunks, and many other animals make Hop Brook Lake their home.
recreationDescription Exploring Hop Brook Lake by canoe, sailboard, or rowboat is a favorite activity of visitors. The park's beach and swimming area are great places to relax in the warm summer sun. Fishing is welcomed at the lake and on its feeder streams, which are stocked with brown, brook, and rainbow trout. Bass and panfish are also found in the lake. Hikers will find over seven miles of trails winding through the woods and meadows at Hop Brook Lake. An 11-hole disc golf course is also located within the park. The course has scenic views of the lake and dam, and is good for beginners and intermediates of all ages.
